Dear friends of Vento Chiaro,

For the past seven years, Vento Chiaro has had the pleasure of bringing the music that we love to the audiences of Boston and Cambridge areas. Our partnership with the Longy School of Music has rewarded us with a wonderful collection of music-loving supporters and it is through the overwhelming positive responses from friends like you that we are revitalized for each performance and are made aware of our important place in the cultural life of our city.

When Vento Chiaro formed at the Peabody Conservatory in 1997 we were immediately drawn to the uniqueness and creative potential of our ensemble. Now enjoying our ninth year together we continue to be passionate and dedicated to building a career in chamber music. We constantly strive to create an environment that allows us to bring high-caliber, entertaining performances to audiences, lead sophisticated and inspiring masterclasses, and collaborate with communities through outreach programs to expand their knowledge, enjoyment and appreciation of music as an art form. In this pursuit, Vento Chiaro’s future includes a long-term university/conservatory residency, short-term residencies and outreach endeavors as well as a substantial performance schedule. In addition to the concert hall we hope to find ourselves in diverse and non-traditional venues; some of the most inspiring exchanges we’ve experienced with our appreciative listeners have been in private homes and school auditoriums.

Vento Chiaro depends on the support of its friends to sustain its high level of involvement in the musical life of Boston. Most people don't realize that the donations we receive from our concert tickets only account for a small fraction of our expenditures for a concert season. The rest is generously contributed by institutions and individuals who value the role that chamber music plays in their lives.
